Most people (adult humans) don't want to work, so governments implement tactics to make sure people work or their society collapse. If people have enough money then they stop working, so governments (and big companies/banks (sometimes called oligarchy)) implement measures to make sure people don't get rich but still have enough money to survive. This include loans to students, high mortgages, low wages and so on.
We desire and try to achieve: to be complete self-sufficient, self-source, sovereign, independent... and much more liberating stuff and freedom.
