Of course it is edgy when overly overt, just as I think it's super damn edgy for Americans wearing colonial era clothing. Much of the core ideas of a good movement has only indirect correlation as to how it's aesthetically advertised. Street fashion might be more people friendly, while of course a new logo needs to be made while keeping the core ideals intact. Trying to express relatability while at the same time, something that stands out from the crowd in a semi modest yet trendy way that has its own deeper meaning as to what colors and new symbols are used is a means for unforgettable memetic recognition.
