If you have opened gimp recently. Its gimp 2.0. Nevermind the felix the cat logo and the name gimp. Felix the cat is somehow involved I have very few sra memories and one of them is recalled mainly by felix the cat either on the television during that memory or jumping around like animaniacs with the clown black and white ritualized face paint. I am afraid to think more about it but the new gimp update is featuring a new toolbox logo with a measuring tool!. What better way to measure the pixels in an image that is not to scale with reality. A compass is the logo of this tool. Why not make a trowel tool to add an unnecessary checkerboard alpha layer.
