Bear in mind the Vulkan translation layer that's used now for almost all "Linux" games, are written by a Weeb who just wanted to play Nier Automata on Linux. His Github avatar is even A2.
I'm not that surprised it has many optimizations for that very title.
And where the Windows version required a mod to fix white screen issues, tanking framerates and proper resolution rendering, all of that does not plague the game on Linux
