The first line here uses "vertu" which doesn't have a modern ancestor but iirc is derived from "life" or something similar in Latin.
Of which [life] engendered is the flower, when Zephyrus (Greek mythology) eked with his sweet breath.
So yeah, perfectly sensible to modern English. If you ever wanted to learn English better, study a bit of etymology because it'll let you know the meaning of words by pure guessing and reduces the total vocab you must know.
