You know how I talked about Canterbury with Hu like 24 hours ago? Skipping the Satyricon intro, the start of Burial is just a reference to the general prologue of Canterbury tales >>49651 here.

It's just one of those things that falls under neat since Eliot was a Catholic classicist so most of the references are classic lit and anything modern is referenced to show it's degradation. I don't remember if it's Burial or Chess that has the "Shakespearean Rag" part but it's set up in the form of a Hamlet reference with the O O O O part and like devolving to a then top 10 pop song.
