I'm mostly ambivalent outside of never using white onions ever. I don't prefer raw hang dried onions (red, white, yellow) but fresh vidalias if I actually grew them that year or in a small enough area where the old farts at the local trader day/market thing are selling them. But yeah, if forced for like whatever I can find at a grocer, I'll end up with reds because every sweet onion from the store will turn my stomach the moment it hits.
