There seems to be a decent farmers' market here, but tbf I don't frequent the places. They could be pulling off the same stunts. I have bought some eggs from one at one point in which they didn't look any different nor taste much different, if at all, from the grocery. So either it was a stunt or people just try to cope about spending the extra money and pretending it's better.
