Yeah, its a win-win but our current regime's value system is entirely based on patronage and line go up mentality so they do not view having a strong individual nation as a positive. Hopefully Trump forcing you all to militarize will de-pussyfy you all.
The best indicator right now is Vance. Trump picked Pence to pander to the establishment Republicans and evangelicals. Meanwhile, Vance was picked because he is much closer in his political positions to Trump, while also being young enough to be his successor. Its Trump saying he doesn't need to pander to the "establishment" Republicans anymore because he IS the Republican party. The other important factor in the Vance pick is that he was essentially handpicked by Peter Thiel. Thiel has backed Trump since 2016, but the VP pick makes it clear his influences are stronger than ever. Not to mention Trump surrounding himself with more people connected to Thiel, like Elon. The PayPal Mafia are essentially the only true counter-elite faction in the country at this point, and now that they have overthrown the Neocons as the ideological center of the Republican party, their next step is the regime. While I do have my qualms with the PayPal Mafia, they are certainly preferable to the Neocons or the current "post-war consensus" regime.
