I've thought about that too. Faking your death is not so useful though. If you want to live as a travelling homeless or a nature man then a small amount of cash would still be needed. To acquire this you would either have to do whatever work you could get to survive or rely on the funds you have saved before adopting this life. The second method is better in my view, but that can't be done if you are 'dead'. My Plan is to acquire enough in shares that the dividends would be able to support me. That's probably not actually that hard as the new lifestyle would not be too expensive. You would need around 20,000 to guarantee $1200 a year100 a month. This might be enough, with the stock market as it is your $20,000 will end up being more like $27,000-$30,000 though(in the long term once the current turmoil is over). Really I would want $100,000 to grantee a comfy hermit life.
