I see, we also have certain differences, you got barbershop as "barberia", which would be the one you refer to, and then there's just the average hairdresser of town that we just call "peluqueria". I wouldn't really call them "salons", because most of the time they don't look like one and it's just someone's house, but if the size fits then I guess it should just be called salon
