About the Russian gas ban - why Northern Hungary and Hungary sues?
Well at least this is what govt. media says:
EU Council decided to ban Russian gas by 2027. They passed it with simple majority instead of unanimous vote. They could do that because they dressed it as economical question and not energy security. Since energy is still an area that is sovereignly regulated by the member states themselves, there is a way to attack the decision legally.
Or something like this.
