This isn't even true, I think I blogged about this once but a few years back my male roommate was downbad for one of my female roommates, Mr Male already had a girlfriend, nice girl, she visited every few months, anyway, Mr Male allegedly confronted Mrs Female roommate and confessed his attraction to her, she allegedly replied that she didn't find him attractive and his response was "please just give me a chance, I know you'll learn to like me".

They started dating. She was also an international student with limited finances and they happened to move to the same city to do a masters degree later and then about 3 months after they finished their masters I saw his instagram profile picture change back to the one he had with her, to just him on his own, sooo. The moral of the story is if you want a girlfriend find an eastern european girl who needs money and doesn't like you.
