The flood detected error only effects Tor users, because they count as one poster, and the flood detection is set to sensitive because Tor is easily abusable by spammers.

When I see the "Flood detected" or "You look like a bot", I can do nothing about it, but refreshing the circuit, manually refilling the form and hoping for success after some half an hour.

The obvious solutions would be to show the user a captcha in such a case. Doesn't matter if it's very difficult, with 20 digits (if you are really afraid of spammers). What matters is the control that the user obtains. Now I can be sure that my post will reach the destination, with some predictable effort.

Up to this day everyone understood that one measure (like captcha, which can be turned on per board basis) against bad actors is only half measure. Noone every complained beside you.
