MacOS HighSierra (2017)

Installed on a MacMini 2011 with 16GB RAM, fresh install:

PhysMem: 4981M used (1945M wired)

The system needs at least 5GB to run properly, and uses up to 10-14GB of RAM when using applications. The memory usage is similar on Monterey.
