You're right, of course. The job I lost for "harassing" a trans freak when I talked to them casually about work just one time, and the trans was confused about the accusation on me, was the manager completely making shit up to get me out. But it's not just that. I had been talking to a coworker about the ridiculousness of trans people, how the trans workers there did not pass as men. The only possible way the manager could have found out is if that coworker was a rat. Falls back on everything you just said.
