>All the new statistics are pointing to a lower mortality rate.
I keep seeing the mortality rate going up. There are two sites which have slightly different numbers.
https://gisanddata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6
and
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries
I've been looking at both daily. The number is rising. USA will be at over 100 thousand deaths soon.
>out that of all the 50.000 infected doctors and nurses, only 0.15 or 1 in 700 died.
Death is not the only thing to worry about. Though when you're suffering through the symptom of inflammation causing your lungs to suffocate you, you'll wish you were dead. Survival after contracting Covid-19 is also going to be a bitch. You're going to keep the coagulation which the virus causes. Blood clots. Those lead to strokes. You're going to have lung scars plus keep the muscle stiffening and brain inflammation encephalitis which can lead to debilitating neurological disorders. Cerebral Palsy, Ataxia, Guillain-Barre syndrome. Those strange people you had to have seen before that can't control their bodies? That could be you, if you're a survivor.
>But is 1% of the population worth a new economical crysis?
It doesn't have to be like this. What POTUS is doing is not ordering down the chain through Governors to make them issue Executive Orders that businesses must follow CDC guidelines. Corporations are not accountable. They're not even providing the relevant research on most masks being useless against Covid-19. Which brings me to your next point.
>Just make wearing masks mandatory and open the economy before people start killing each other.
I would prefer to be killed by someone, especially a bullet to the head, than catch this virus. But I'm not about to suicide. Not yet. We'll see if I catch it. Suffocating to death is up there among the highest most painful ways to die. Now about the masks.

"The authors pointed to earlier research showing particles 0.04 to 0.2 μm "can penetrate surgical masks." For the coronavirus responsible for SARS, particles were estimated to be within that range at 0.08 to 0.14 μm, they said." (μm = micrometer)

"The median viral loads after coughs without a mask, with a surgical mask, and with a cotton mask were 2.56 log copies/mL, 2.42 log copies/mL, and 1.85 log copies/mL, respectively. All swabs from the outer mask surfaces of the masks were positive for SARS–CoV-2, whereas most swabs from the inner mask surfaces were negative" + "Neither surgical nor cotton masks effectively filtered SARS–CoV-2 during coughs by infected patients."
