Hitler, the politician, had to appeal to a 99% Christian country, yet he quotes zero Bible verses in Mein Kampf while including an entire section on evolutionary bottlenecking. Catholics do not at all believe that evolution applies to animals, much less to Man (whom Catholics believe sits between animals and God) and yet there is Hitler (rightly) claiming that Darwinian selection applies to the races of Man just as it does to animals.
