It depends on the west a lot. Unfortunately saving ukrainian lives doesn't seem to be priority for the west, and it looks like they want to drag it for a while. However Ukraine can destroy inefficient russian army relying on brute force as soon as west provides suitable tools for that. Having F16 with full supply of missiles and bombs should change a lot.
