>I do wonder what the percentages of fandom is devoted to NSFW. I would've thought we'd be more closer to furry levels by this point, even with tumblr not uploading there stuff.
let´s say the majority of chan users are into it, Derpi is so-so with it and EQD casuals tend to avoid it (for imagery purposes I believe). Porn is increasing but steady and somewhat slow for a wild rule like the 34th one. The content is out of proportions in comparison to other franchises but relatively speaking, it doesn´t come close to half of the content.

>back in the day it was a real divisive issue, a mix of social conservative, SJW, and people who just weren't interested in such raising a bit of a hissy over it ( and other stuff).
clop indeed was an issue that certain "fans" wanted to deny because that would ruin the image. The bandwagon may have created the golden era yet those groups happened. Look at how the early fans that left always claim that clop was the biggest problem when nowadays, it barely causes any drama.
>It's one reason why ponychan is like a ghost town, as the moderation did massive crackdowns on stuff... well, them not having porn wasn't there undoing as much as them being restrictive arbitrarily and being real self righteous about it (and why there were so many spin offs to that site).
keep in mind that people jumped onto it without exactly knowing how it would turn out over time. Arbitrary moderation is one of the main reasons I don´t like putting myself as a mod. MLPChan tried to copy it yet how many boards have survived after 2014?
>I've actually been looking through a lot of fandom related studies (a lot more than I thought) and I'll see if they have anything of value on it.
quite possibly there is more uniformity in porn. Even though I usually reference 2015 to 2016 as the turning point in which the fandom calmed itself a lot, maybe the agreement of NSFW came sooner than that year.

>maybe it's because there is less suggestive martial and so there is a higher demand and lower supply, hence higher up vote rates?
either it´s because they had a good time watching the image and want more of that fetish. Probably a sign of protest and one possible reason why it´s slowly increasing. Not because the rule itself is wild for meme purposes but because the community around those types of images demand more (some of them don´t upvote everything though, I think that most of them also consider the quality of the drawing as SFW pics). I´ve seen decent anthros that have only 90 upvotes and not what I would have expected in terms of likes.

>I would've thought a far more dramatic one being more people growing older and sites becoming more laidback
I think you may be right. Either that or Seth doesn´t care anymore. That laidback mentality may come because of oversaturation of content and depletion of such taboo. You end up with a face like pic related about that stuff.
