>>3341 >so it's actually somewhat possible if there was a lurker around here like that, at least somewhat. that user may have a few points (the political behavior on the internet these days) right there but by saying that the brony fanbase had something to do with his narrative to explain these things....yeah, any lurker would be easily tempted to derail the thread and have an excuse to post ponies....for fun and trolling purposes.
>Perhaps it's because of the fandom entering uncharted waters again. 8 years and a half is a lot of time for an internet phenomena considering that things get old pretty fast. Neither the creators nor the fanbase as a whole expected to reach this far nor do I with the activity of this board . However, time comes and goes and people still react to ponies innately even if the fans have changed in mentality. Ironically enough, what they don´t know is that by reacting and treating them as a big deal, people will have an interest to find an explanation behind those reactions. I joined to this ride because of the reactions between bronies and antis in a Youtube comments section. After laughing for a day, I decided to check out of curiosity if it was so feminine....I didn´t see anything wrong at first but I kept going until the good episodes arrived....the rest is history.
Most fans start by hating the phenomena until they actually check it anyway
>My take of trolling is to either make it so low tier that it is only the mere presence of the pony that is triggring or make it extravagant in some way, if I were to troll a pretty delicious move that I would apply as well.
>though for me, a bunch of oldfag weeaboos probably wouldn't be my first target. yeah, weaboos are pretty boring and they are pretty busy focusing on several animes and staying in their generals. Not the most attractive target except that I would trigger them with the famous line: "Ponies are just like your Chinese cartoons" and it would be not only effective but a point (because the narrative comes from the Sailor Moon category). My targets would be /b/ because of its high speed and underage users and /v/ because of their elitism and contrarian mindsets. I would have said /pol/ but they were pretty chill about ponies and certain sectors of it didn´t hate on them that much ironically. After /mlpol/, I cannot classify them as a target to troll, much less when they have found a pretty good tense/comfortable dynamic that we have been applying too and it definitely works.
