>>3351 >that user may have a few points (the political behavior on the internet these days) right there but by saying that the brony fanbase had something to do with his narrative to explain these things....yeah, any lurker would be easily tempted to derail the thread and have an excuse to post ponies....for fun and trolling purposes. I actually think a lot of those points are correct, even the brony point may have been partly so back in 2011/12. Though I think there is too much emphasis on the that, and a lot of bronies were the type of people who may have never considered a fandom period (In old fandom terminology, the term for people who were outside the gatekeepers was "feral" , though that is from none weeaboo circles). Another point is that there is technically a whole lot more people who are into anime beyond what you'd get on TV mainstream, but it's being consumed in a mainstream way (crunchyroll, through weeb YTers who after the first generation have little background in those hardcore circles themselves, etc).
>I joined to this ride because of the reactions between bronies and antis in a Youtube comments section. After laughing for a day, I decided to check out of curiosity if it was so feminine....I didn´t see anything wrong at first but I kept going until the good episodes arrived....the rest is history. It took me awhile to admit I was unironically into it. As I have said, found it while looking up fanfics to laugh at at fanfiction.net. I gradually looked up other fan works and clips of the show and... same as you.
>My targets would be /b/ because of its high speed and underage users and /v/ because of their elitism and contrarian mindsets. For me, I'm not sure I'd have a target other than a retaliation over attacking first.
> I would have said /pol/ but they were pretty chill about ponies and certain sectors of it didn´t hate on them that much ironically. Yeah, wouldn't count as a troll if some anons there join in.
