>What you have found...
astonished? Yeah, I did that as well last night while posting it. Imagine how it feels like discovering something so obvious yet it cost me all this time to notice it.

>if you look at the animation you can sometimes see them having the grass move beautifully or characters breathing
which is quite amazing. Even the shadows in certain scenes looked wonderful in certain episodes (Princess Twilight Sparkle comes to my mind) and such contrast in that simplicity looks quite ironic for the nature of this artstyle.

>Granted some of the backgrounds got near top tier later too.
indeed

>All the way back to the early days I used to wonder why there where these very similar curly patterns used over and over again in the backgrounds of various locations throughout the show. I mean I knew they would obviously reuse it and it was a simple way to make something look less barren
just compare the scenes with crowds. You didn´t see a single copy pasted pony in The Last Problem but how many were the repeated ones/clones in the first episodes (Friendship is Magic opener). So many were so generic that Derpy managed to stand out among them simply for the eyes placed wrongly.

>Looks to me because just a quickie detail made by a CURVE RULER!
amazing secret that should have been taken into account for any fan but for some reason, either we didn´t bother to check it out because you don´t focus on a technical level barely anything except if it´s noticeable.

When it comes to the contours, the amount of curves in this show are almost infinite and I couldn´t sleep because if I tried to relax myself while staring at a MLP pictures, they would irk me because of watching the material from the technical viewpoint. And when you get used to judging the pictures from that side, you cannot stop noticing how the artist did X picture by combining the curves/lines and wherever you look at,they all feel mostly the same.
