The agreement is about:
1. Re-licensing of the source code (copyright) which is required, so that:
2. Disassociation - Fredrick is disassociated with the project altogether (because the license disallows removal of his copyrights)
3. Sunset - both decide to abandon the 8chan brand.

It doesn't consider the trademark law. I would bet that N.T.Technology already owns the trademark due to some previous agreements with Fredrick.

The agreement hasn't been signed. Which probably means, that there are some new problems regarding 8chan coming back soon. If no further agreement is reached, they will rename the website or not, but Fredrick won't stop his twitter vendetta and he will be named in the footer of future 8chan.
