As far as I can discern,
BO, baker0 (#sGrv/l) and BV (#jlFBUa) are one person: BO.

At the start, BO was BO; no tripcodes.

Tripcodes started when we started baking; he could not trust bakers, so he wanted tripcodes. He had one tripcode at the start (#sGrv/l).

Then developed this second position of BV and a separate tripcode for that position (#jlFBUa).

If you ask why, i would say it's bc he parses everything like that--creating finer and finer categories.
