I don't personally think there is anything there.
My thoughts are that if one of them had to announce an assassination attempt, it would be in the form of an already agreed upon code which would not be referable through symbolism interpretation.
Remember: both sides know how to read symbolism. You only use such when you need to communicate a new message, hence the need for confirmations.
Assassination I just don't think fits the bill.
But maybe there is something else?
