Being an independent thinker and being a leader are different. We are the former certainly. And I enjoy that role.
But there is also need for the latter; one does not preclude the other. The latter is moar of a social function and an important one (e.g., POTUS). Great leaders inspire people.
Introversion vs extroversion.
Neither is better than the other.
Just different.

I understand
that people are afraid of power
Both our own
And the power that comes to leaders.
But power is not bad
It just has to be balanced it with responsibility.

The greatest leaders
are totally the servants of those they lead.
That's rare.
