British Royal Now Wanted By FBI For Questioning Over Connections To Epstein

Things keep going from bad to worse for Prince Andrew. First, a photo resurfaces with Andrew’s arm around the waist of a woman who accused Epstein of having abused her. Next, ABC gets outed for having spiked a story that would have blown the lid off of the Epstein scandal during the 2016 election season… and one of the reasons discussed in that off-the-record leaked conversation for spiking that story included pressure from the Royal family not to run a story that would embarrass Prince Andrew.

Then Prince Andrew had his disastrous TV interview where he offered lame excuses for staying at what’s been dubbed ‘Pedophile Island’, for the advantages gained by having a relationship with Epstein. He also said he ‘didn’t remember’ having had sex with the accuser, implied the photo in which they both appeared was doctored, and claimed he (used to) have a rare medical condition making it (nearly) impossible for him to sweat. His excuses were all hedged in all the usual weasel-words. He became an instant laughingstock. And an embarrassment to the crown. And has been sent into the royal version of political exile.

That was bad. And now it may have just gotten worse. Officially, he is just wanted as a fact witness, but British lawyers are not taking any chances. Prince Andrew could be arrested and trapped in America if he jets across the Atlantic to speak to the FBI, a senior British lawyer warned today. Baroness Helena Kennedy QC, a prominent human and civil rights lawyer from Scotland, said she would advise the Duke of York to meet agents in London instead. Andrew signalled he would speak to FBI detectives investigating billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein as he readied himself for a subpoena from US lawyers demanding he gives evidence under oath.

The MeToo era is a bad time to get swept up in such controversies, especially in a position that is so VERY heavily dependent upon the public eye. Lisa Bloom, Allred’s daughter, who said she represents five of Epstein’s accusers and is “talking to many more,” told the Telegraph that the prince should “turn over any and all evidence.” “He has emails, texts, calendars, all the normal stuff that you turn over when you’re in litigation,” she said. “And he should have his staffers and security. For me, this is about justice for the victims.” “It’s a new age where we expect, at a minimum, compassion for the victims,” the lawyer continued. “And Prince Andrew didn’t show that at all, even when he was asked. He just didn’t show it. He didn’t have it in him. And I think that’s where he’s been attacked the most. He also was terribly inconsistent on some of his statements, which make him look not credible. That’s a problem because he’s accused of sexual assault himself.”
