Maps: Gottlieb Schumacher
Gottlieb Schumacher (1857-1928) originated a series of extraordinary detailed maps which were published by the German Society for the Exploaration of Palestine under commission by the Hinrichs’schen Buchhandlung at Leipzig. These maps are made available for download here and may be used in tuition as well as for private and scientific studies. Furthermore a series of additional maps, kept in the Society’s library, are as well available for download. These additional maps were produced by the Vermessungsabteilung 27 and some of them are explicitly based on Schumachers maps. Unlisted maps are not available.
