Sexual intimacy is not necessarily in full relation to matrimony in front of a body of peers, relatives, cohorts, etc…

It is a union of two different divine energies, both masculine and feminine, and has really nothing to do with the actual 'sex' of the body itself. The energy signature is the only thing that necessarily needs to be present.

Although, I do prefer to be in a heterosexual based relationship, I realize, wholeheartedly, that once you comes to terms with the fact that we all initiate gestational growth as a female, and then if criteria is met, change growth instruction sets to the male counter-part.

So, to exclaim that one must be strictly with a male or female in order to achieve a certain level of sexual/spiritual maturity is just a matter of preference, and nothing more. Any further contemplation on the idea, of 'mixing' divine masculine and feminine energies should be directed towards the art and practice of 'kundalini tantra.'

As far as waiting for the right person, and having faith that they will come to the right decision on a path of their consent and choosing, is only one out of any aspects of this vast reality that we need to be more concerned about. Yes, in a silent war of shadows, it would be nice to be able to attain a higher state of deep sexual epiphanies, but sometimes, it's just not in the cards… yet, maybe.
