Caesarian shift is a (too) simple way of crypting stuff.
Just rotate every letter in a word by x positions in the alphabet and write out the result.
With SAM (four times rotated) that would be:
SAM -> TBN -> UCO -> VDP -> WEQ
(in this case x=4)
