Mr Leeming’s various ventures during his life included a language school, tile factories, businesses in stationery printing, marble exports and oil, as well as an Afghan tourism company. During the latter venture, Mr Leeming unknowingly brushed with al-Qaeda as he attempted to set up his tourism company there despite the ongoing conflict.
