Heat Stress: Protecting Workers and Increasing Resilience - Heat has always been a risk to workers, but climate change is exacerbating the threat to worker safety, health, and well-being worldwide. A safe and healthy working environment is a fundamental principle and right at work, but many are excluded from protections or cannot negotiate for safer conditions. A worker-centered just transition includes advancing domestic action and global cooperation to protect the more than 2.4 billion workers worldwide exposed to heat stress.
