I was in Venezuela 11 years ago on a protection detail where I was detained and questioned for hours and followed by Venezuelan intel services for several days.

What I saw then was a destroyed nation where a small minority had all the wealth and the rest of the nation was drowned in poverty, violence and zero hope.
It was a nation flooded with Chinese and Russian influence, and a base of operations for regional narcotics trading and organized crime.
Now, maybe, the people of Venezuela will have some hope and we will have better control of the importation of drugs into our great nation.
