*Confidence is high with the potential for heavy rain and some flooding issues over the northern half of the state. The Tennessee Valley will likely see rain amounts in the 2 to 4 inch range… 2 to 3 inches are likely as far as south as Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Anniston.
*The severe thunderstorm threat is conditional. It all depends on the amount of surface based in instability that can be achieved during the event. If sufficient instability is available, we could see a few storms with strong winds and a brief isolated tornado or two.
