DOGPOOL @_DOGPOOL_ - Anyone out there with a generator waiting with bated breath for the coming Snowmageddon listen up. I will save you time, frustration and your hard-earned cash.
DON'T put a DROP of fuel in your generator. Just don't. Not until power has been off for hours or you know you will be needing it.
The most common problem when someone goes to use a genset is that the fuel has turned to molasses in some areas of the fuel supply. And it only takes a couple months to happen. You go to use it and you are dead in the water. Likely carb and fuel line replacement and removal of fuel tank for flush and clean. Then you can run your gen again.
Leave them dry until you cannot stand being without it. And when you do use it, run it dry at the end. Trust me and thank me later.

Dr. Naomi Wolf. 8 NYT Bestsellers. DPhil, Poetry. @naomirwolf - Not to reply to a troll but this point is important. Allopathic neurology at the highest level, told me a decade ago I’d be in a wheelchair by now and slowly losing the functions of all of my systems. My neurologist had nothing to offer but Celexa, which made me ill. Herbs, supplements, red light sauna, stretching, physical therapy, prayer, hiking, grounding and sunshine and I have a slight limp at times but thank God am otherwise fine. My neurologist did not recommend any of that. I’d surely be in a wheelchair now if I’d listened only to him.
