AnarchistOwl @Owls_4_America - Exactly.
It took me 2.5 years after finishing school and 1400+ resumes submitted with 2 interviews total to get a tech job. I worked fulltime and went to school fulltime. I worked overtime. I paid for everything myself. There were many nights where I got less than 4 hours of sleep. I did every single tech challenge I could find. I built free apps for people. I could not get into tech. I finally got in- making less than fast food writing assembly I went to school for web development. This is drastically different. But it's a job. I'm thankful for it.

I was homeless twice in that process. Do you know how hard it is to keep up to date on languages without a house?! My car exploded. I had to figure out everything by my self.

And this is what I had to do as an AMERICAN to compete against H1B. I was working full time in a job that wore me out every day- left me tired and sweaty so I could code and get into this industry. I'm thankful to be in. There are so many people that got laid off in favor of foreigners. It should be illegal to hire someone that way.

Andrew Branca Show @TheBrancaShow - The firearm matters—and the media is hiding it. At the Minneapolis Border Patrol shooting, the suspect was armed with a SIG Sauer P320 AXG Combat, a high-capacity 9mm pistol with a threaded barrel, extended 20–21 round magazine, and a SIG Romeo optic—a setup costing $1,500–$2,000. This was not a cheap carry gun.
Officers were in a physical struggle with an armed suspect when a gun was perceived and the word “gun” was shouted. Under settled self-defense law, officers are entitled to rely on fellow officers’ reasonable perceptions. They do not have to personally confirm the threat.
Once a firearm appears during active resistance, the legal standard is simple: reasonable perception of imminent deadly force. That standard was met here. Freeze-frame activism doesn’t override real-time dynamics, and the law does not require officers to wait to be shot. This was a tragic—but lawful—use of force.

Andrew Leyden @PenguinSix - The first flight due to DCA Reagan this morning opted to divert to Dulles due to concerns about braking on the runways at National. Airport authorities hope to have flights running again at Reagan today, but many cancellations are already on the board.
