Kelly Loeffler @SBA_Kelly - SBA’s Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience has been in constant contact with state and federal partners in preparation for this week’s impending weather event.
Accordingly, I have ordered our Damage Assessment and Field Deployment Teams to "Travel Alert Status" for immediate response. Over 100 individuals from both our Disaster Field Operations Center East and West are on standby to provide initial on-the-ground support. Additionally, support staff across SBA's 68 district offices have been mobilized to provide assistance should the need arise.
As the agency continues to monitor the developing situation, we encourage all individuals in the storm’s path to exercise caution and observe local advisories.

National Weather Service @NWS
Winter storm watches, warnings, advisories and ice storm warnings are in place millions of Americas. Heavy snowfall is forecast from Oklahoma to the Northeast where over a foot of snow is possible for some locations through Monday.
In addition, widespread freezing rain and sleet are expected across the Southern Plains, the Lower Mississippi Valley, the Tennessee Valley, and the Southeast.
The storm will cause significant to locally catastrophic ice accumulations with the potential for long-duration power outages, extensive tree damage, and extremely dangerous or impassable travel conditions.

Kevin Bass @kevinnbass - I am horrified. I cannot believe it.
I analyzed public databases and media reporting on violent confrontations with ICE over the past year.
Just 9 counties accounted for TWO-THIRDS of violent confrontations with ICE in America.
This is twice all violent confrontations in the remaining 3,134 counties COMBINED.
