I, for one, am tired of hearing that NES workers are working around the clock. It is my understanding that linemen’s shifts are 14–18 hours long.
-
Those of us following the maps have noticed that the number of restored homes rarely shows significant progress. Statistics on the number of homes restored are skewed by a system that sends out erroneous text messages, counting homes and neighborhoods as restored when they are still experiencing outages.

What is truly needed is round-the-clock work teams and a strong leader who commits all available resources to restoring power to the homes of those who have been without it for more than 5 days. Something needs to happen before the forecasted weekend storm.

By the numbers: Davidson county (Nashville) sticks out like a sore thumb. Still over 80k without power from Sunday's ice storm, while surrounding counties are down to less than 5k. @FOXNashville
https://x.com/carolmswain/status/2017047914904711663CBP AMO @CBPAMO - BORDER BANDITS CAUGHT! On January 23, U.S. Border Patrol agents responded to reports of gunfire along the southern border near Tecate. At the request of the Foreign Operations Division, an AMO ASTAR crew was dispatched and arrived on scene, providing critical aerial surveillance and assistance. The Government of Mexico also deployed military and law enforcement personnel to the area along the Mexican side.
The aircrew observed several armed individuals on the Mexican side, and a drone operated by the suspects was detected in the vicinity. While providing critical overwatch, U.S. Border Patrol safely apprehended one individual running northbound, away from the gunfire, while Mexican authorities detained three armed suspects and recovered abandoned AK-47 magazines. The area was secured through close coordination between U.S. and Mexican officials, with our aircrew providing aerial surveillance on station until the situation was declared safe. Great international collaboration and partnerships along the border to apprehend these bandits! #BorderSecurity
