https://x.com/USDOT/status/2019051826796990811U.S. Department of Transportation @USDOT - Today we remember the 67 lives lost in the tragic mid-air collision of American Airlines Flight 5342. We stand with the families during this time and the unsung heroes who continue to advocate for aviation safety improvements.
SecDuffy and the Department remain committed to improving safety protocols to prevent tragedies like this from happening again.
https://x.com/USDOT/status/2016890450393608467U.S. EPA @EPA - EPA understands Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) system failures are a MASSIVE issue for farmers, truckers, and other diesel equipment operators. We are actively working to address this issue at Trump speed with today’s latest action to demand information from manufacturers on critical data from DEF system failures.
The data collected will allow us to independently evaluate ongoing system failures and help inform our next steps. This is the first, not the last, action EPA will take on DEF in 2026.
