A second Iranian naval vessel is now waiting in international waters just outside Sri Lanka after requesting emergency port access.
The ship reportedly asked for entry to avoid being targeted by the U.S. Navy.
The request comes after reports that a U.S. submarine destroyed an Iranian warship - the first time a U.S. sub has sunk an enemy ship since World War II.
Sri Lanka has not yet granted the vessel permission to dock.
