Let’s start with the fact that the Pentagon has named neither boat nor class
Los Angeles-class claims:
- Task & Purpose (Jeff Schogol) confirmation from US official
- Bloomberg (Tony Capaccio)
Virginia-class claims:
- Global Defense Corp: No author listed, no source cited
- The Guardian: No author listed, source is from Global Defense Corp listed above so this is a single source claim
Until more info comes out, or any credible sources state Virginia (who are willing to put their name on it); I am staying with Los Angeles-class on this one.

Sounds like a 688i boat fired the torpedo. What a run for Los Angeles-class.

Oversight Committee @GOPoversight- Video: You can't make this up.
Democrat: "Mr. Chairman, it's outrageous that this is what we're choosing to spend our time on in the Oversight Committee."
@RepJamesComer: "Fraud?"
