MOMof DataRepublican @data_republican - So here are two things that I have been amazed at using @grok:
1) I just tell grok that I need a recipe, and I tell it what ingredients I want to use. I asked @grok for an appetizer recipe using leftover mashed potatoes, and it was amazing. It called for 2 C. mashed potatoes, but I only had 1-1/2 C. It fixed the recipe for my needs. And if you don't have one of the ingredients on hand, it will reconfigure the recipe so it works for you. I've been using it for recipes a lot.
2) This was one that my son-in-law @wasatchdotco did: they were going to an event, so he told @grok about it and asked for wardrobe suggestions for both of them to compliment each other. He said that he needed delivery within 2 days. @grok provided all the details and gave him the Amazon order details. They both looked awesome!
Of course, I use it for all the normal stuff, but having it on hand to do some amazing stuff for my lifestyle is so great! I love @grok!

Mrs. Gore @MrsGoresDiary - I have always been very afraid of tornadoes, even though I have lived in Oklahoma my whole life.
Tonight, though, when my husband was in the city with four of our kids and I was home alone with the three youngest, and a tornado warning began sounding on my phone, I had the most inexplicable sense of peace. I gathered the children, got their shoes on, and drove them to our church where we go to take shelter.
I am NEVER brave enough to go into a dark, empty church building alone, but that peace continued to drive me, and we found couch cushions, and bottled water, and some leftover chips from the last potluck, and settled in to a cozy room. A friend soon joined me with her two littles (her husband was with the rest of my family in the city!), and even though the power soon went out, leaving us in the dark with five children for almost an hour, we were at rest in our souls.
Two people from our town were killed not very far from us tonight, and I keep thinking back to all the nights taking shelter in years past when we actually WEREN’T in much danger, and I was scared witless, compared to tonight when we actually were in danger and I was as calm as if I was in my living room with blue skies overhead and the electricity running and all my family safe beside me.
It’s really true, then, isn’t it? God gives us exactly what we need when we need it. Not when we don’t need it! But when we do, it’s right there, just what we need.
