"Media literacy" is a politically captured term in the contemporary space, but one of the goals of my time the past few years was to impress upon you all the idea of how poorly this stuff has been covered, and the people you've been looking to for information really, genuinely, have no idea what they're talking about. I'd cuss here to make a point of how profoundly ridiculous people are being, and how profoundly annoying and discouraging it is, but if you're still reading this post, I believe I can trust you'll take the point. I would like to hope you can all become "media literate", but time and time again some of you insist on proving the opposite and putting me into despair.
