Good evening,
Vice President Vance arrived at Joint Base Andrews at 7:04 pm, to make his way to Dover Air Force Base for the dignified transfer of Sgt. Benjamin N. Pennington, 26, of Glendale, KY, a U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command Soldier.
Vance walked off M2 at 7:09 pm.
He declined to answer shouted questions but waved at press before boarding AF2 at 7:10 pm.
The military announced Pennington died on March 8th from injuries sustained March 1st during an attack on Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia. Pennington was assigned to the 1st Space Battalion, 1st Space Brigade out of Fort Carson, CO.
AF2 is rolling at 7:15pm
