>>179364Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani @NYCMayor - It was a joy to return to Richmond Hill to celebrate Phagwah alongside the Indo-Guyanese and Indo-Caribbean communities who make this city so vibrant. The 38th Annual Phagwah Parade was livelier than ever—New York City is definitely ready to welcome Spring.
May happiness and harmony be with you all today and every day. Happy Phagwah!
https://x.com/NYCMayor/status/2038388860816650612Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani @NYCMayor - It was an honor to spend Palm Sunday this morning with Pastor Green and the congregation at The Greater Allen Cathedral of New York.
As James 2:14 reminds us, “faith without works is dead.” That message calls on all of us to build a better city. A New York where dignity is not a privilege, but a promise. Where government shows up for people with respect. Where faith is nurtured by justice, and freedom is abundant.
Wishing a blessed Palm Sunday to all New Yorkers observing this sacred day.
https://x.com/NYCMayor/status/2038313752831926358Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani @NYCMayor - I’m saddened to learn that a New Yorker in city custody died early this morning. He was transferred from Rikers Island to Elmhurst Hospital yesterday evening, where he was receiving medical attention.
My thoughts are with his family and loved ones as they endure this profound loss. Every person in our city’s care deserves dignity, safety, and access to quality medical treatment—without exception.
Transparency is essential and the Department of Correction and oversight partners have begun an investigation into the circumstances of his death.
https://x.com/NYCMayor/status/2038297271503048740Melissa Hallman @dotconnectinga - NEW: A formal complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission accuses Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) of violating federal campaign finance laws by spending $19,000 in campaign funds on ketamine therapy sessions for personal use.
The complaint alleges the payments went to a psychiatrist for “personal mental health treatment” rather than legitimate campaign or official purposes. It claims the expenditures were improperly charged to her congressional campaign committee between 2023 and 2025.
