Join us in congratulating Maj. Gen. Troy Havener on his assumption of command of the Air National Guard Readiness Center, where he will serve as the principal advisor to the director of the Air National Guard on resourcing, planning, and execution for nearly 107,000 Guard Airmen.
Havener brings extensive operational experience to the role, having previously served as the ANG assistant to the commander, United States Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces in Africa.
We also recognize Brig. Gen. Barbra Buls for her impactful leadership, strengthening readiness across the force during a critical time.
“I can think of no better person to have commanded the ANGRC over the past 16 months than Brig. Gen. Buls,” said Maj. Gen. Duke Pirak, acting director of the ANG. “The job got harder, Bobby, and you were up for it. The global environment grew more dangerous, but no matter what the mission, the organization … or what I asked you to do, you knocked it out of the park.”
