Fr. Joseph Krupp @Joeinblack - I just love how they act as if no one ever thought of these things before. It’s like this weird assumption that for 1800 years, people heard or read the Bible and encountered the phrase, “brothers and sisters” in relation to Jesus but what? They all just ignored it?
But then, 200 or 300 years ago, Pastor Todd read it and realized what everyone missed.
When confronted with the possibility that they misunderstood something written in a language they don’t know by a culture they’ve never studied, they’re like “nah”.
It’s childish rebellion: if Catholics believe it, it can’t be true.
