UPDATE: High-level sources tell me this was NOT a drone incursion, but a plane 15 miles from Palm Beach International—where Air Force One was parked—whose pilot stopped responding to Air Traffic Controllers
Pilot eventually got in contact with the tower and immediately exited the zone
“[Secret Service] was tracking the whole time,” the source told me.
At least one pilot announced to their passengers that there was a drone incursion, and a ground stop was issued.
I have not yet confirmed why choppers were scrambled.
