Following the photos, your pooler attempted to ask a question to the VP about the news of the day but he thanked and left the room.
We were ushered out shortly after.
On the way back to the WH, VP was spotted just outside the door of the West Wing speaking on the phone. Pool waited at the stairs for half a minute for his convo to be over.

I’ll be your pooler for the VP's swearing in of Colin McDonald as the assistant attorney general for national fraud enforcement, a newly-created role.
McDonald has long worked as a federal prosecutor and will now be heading up the new DOJ division targeting fraud nationwide.
We are gathered in the Indian Treaty Room and the ceremony is set to start soon. Deputy AG Todd Blanche is here.
